301 Redirect
A 301 redirect is a term/process to move your domain to another domain. The 301 - redirect is referred to as a permanent redirect. It is a Search Engine Friendly method and retains your visitors and rankings without causing any harm to your ranking or website. In simple terms it directs the web traffic from one web address to another, without any intermediate web pages.

404 Error Page

The 404 Error Page or typically speaking the "PAGE NOT FOUND" error message is an HTTP standard response code, which indicates that the user was able to communicate to the server, but either the server could not find what was requested, or it was configured not to fulfill the request.

A/B Testing
A/B Testing process, allows you to compare the two different versions of the same page. The process lies in creating the two different versions of the same page, and then testing the performance of the pages in terms with the users/visitors.

Article
An article is an essay or a research on a particular topic. Article provides a lot of exposure to your business and very high relevant traffic to your website. Other than providing the quality traffic, article submission has SEO benefits also, it gives a valuable back-link to the website.

Cloaking

Cloaking is the process of the website URL, showing one page to a search engine spider and a different page to a human visitor. It is primarily used to show an optimized page to the search engine spider. This is an unethical SEO Technique and Search Engine penalizes the website, if they find cloaking in a website.

Crawling
Crawling in simple terms is the process of finding & adding the new and updated pages to the Google Index. Crawling is done by the Google's software, called as Google Bot (which is also known as the search engine spider or robot, or a bot).

The crawler process starts with the list of the URL's, generated from the previous crawl and from the Google Sitemaps. The Googlebot visits each of these websites and it detects links on each page and adds them to its list of pages to crawl. The new sites, changes to existing sites, and dead links are noted and used to update the Google index.

Directory / Website Directory
A Directory is a collection of websites, categorized into proper categories, which are systematically arranged, managed and maintained by Human Editors. So, as such directory is a very informative tool and provides the list of the search query by a user, by displaying the information from it's database. Directories are an important way to obtain a valuable link back to a website. Directories are not maintained by software tools, or run by search engine spiders, but rather Human Editors, which makes them unique.

Dead Link / Broken Link
A dead link (also called a broken linking) is a link on the World Wide Web that points to a web page or server that is permanently unavailable.

The most common result of a dead link page is shown by displaying the status code by the server a 404 error, which indicates that the web server responded, but the specific page could not be found. The browser may also return a DNS error indicating that a web server could not be found at that domain name.

Expert Page
An EXPERT PAGE is a a web page that consists of a topic based on the search term and has links to many non - affiliated pages on the same topic area.

Forums

Forums are online communities which provides the users to hold discussions, ask/research (already posted) questions, on the world wide web. Generally speaking forums are another name for discussion boards, or message boards. They enables the users to share, discuss or put the questions based on the theme of the websites.

Keyword Cannibalization
Keyword Cannibalization is a process where the web pages of a website compete for each other, for the same keywords or the key phrases. This creates a problem of confusion for the search engine spiders to provide which page in the search results, to the user.

Keyword
is a word or phrase entered into a search engine or directories to gather the information from the databases present in the search engines, relevant to that particular keyword. Keyword forms the search engine query.

Keyword Cloud
Keyword Cloud is a group of used on a website, keywords having higer density, i.e., the main keywords of the website are depicted in a larger fonts.

Keyword Density
Keyword Density is defined as the percentage of occurrence of the keywords to the text in the rest of your webpage. An optimum of 2-8% should be maintained.

Keyword Frequency
Keyword frequency refers to the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase appears within a web page. The main keyword should be repeated in the webpage, but it should not abuse the system by repeating the same keyword or keyword phrases over and over again.

Keyword Prominence
Prominence's dictionary meaning suggests nearness to something. So Keyword Prominence refers to how prominent keywords are within a web page. The general recommendation is to place important keywords to the top of the page or near, the start of a web page, sentence, TITLE or META tag.

Keyword Proximity
Keyword proximity refers to the closeness between two or more keywords. From SEO point of view, the closer the keywords are, the better.

Link Building
The process of gaining inbound links to your site. Google counts it as a vote from a site linking to the other site.

Meta Title
Title tags are the tags which represents the title of the web page. An accurate title makes it clear for the visitor about the web page and tells/gives the appropriate information of the web page. But title tags should not be too long. The standard limit for the title tags is 7 to 12 words or 75 to 87 characters. The optimum Keyword Density for the title tag is about 9 to 20%.

Meta Description
This tag is another very tag after the title tag. The Meta Description tells the visiting spider about the theme of the page, and helps in providing the relevant information to the user if he is searching to the related information to your website. The standard limit for the meta description should br nearly 15 to 20 words, or 150 characters. It should be noted that lot of keyword stuffing in the description tag may lead to or considered as SPAM. So it should be avoided, generally speaking the keyword should be repeated no tmore than thrice in the tag. The optimum Keyword Density for the title tag is about 5 to 10%.

Meta Keywords
The meta keyword tag is also considered as an important tag, in the search engine consideration of the website. The standard limit for the tag is nearly 50 to 70 words or 285 - 510 characters.

Multivariate Testing
The multivaraite testing, is defined as testing multiple values for multiple variables. The multivariate testing option provides to test the headline, the image, call to action and the promotional text. The multivariate testing process is not fast, and this is it's disadvantage, it takes time to show up the results.
