Google on the Killing Spree

Google is also now on the rolling back of employees in it's Sales and Marketing departments. Google has announced in it's post to shed off 200 employees globally in the Sales and Marketing Departments.

They say that it's because to improve the order of effectiveness and efficiency in the organization, they are taking such a step. But is it worth it? Will removing the employees cause them increase in efficiency and effectiveness for their organizations?

I was thinking to get answer to these questions before writing this post. How far does it goes to increase their success?
