Google Getting More Real With Its ‘Real Time’ Search

Google launched a real time search engine, specifically dedicated to the searches made in the real time. Get the fun started here www.google.com/realtime You can use geographic refinements to find updates and news that's happening right near you or in the area of your choice. You can also follow a conversation by browsing a full timeline of tweets. Adding to the Google Real Time features, you can now create an alert specifically for "updates" to get an email the moment a topic of interest shows up on Twitter or other short-form services, in Google Alerts.   Currently the Google Real Time Search and updates are available globally in 40 languages, and the geographic refinements and conversations views are available in English, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.

Link to Your Google Analytics Account for Google Webmaster Verification

Till now webmasters have to verify the ownership of their website(s) seperately for Google Webmasters Tools and Google Analytics. But this has been simplified recently by Google. If you are already running the Google Analytics for your website, then you can verify the ownership of your website for Google Webmasters Tools account just by clicking the button. But this option has a limitation and is available only with the newer asynchronous Analytics JavaScript, so if you haven't migrated yet, now is a great time.

Facebook now offering streamlined pages

Facebook is now providing features which will make browsing much easier. The changes will be available from 23rd August, as announced in the Facebook's developers blog. The new modifications includes, Removing boxes (including the boxes tab) Narrowing custom tabs to 520 pixels which will make navigation much easier for users. Don't wait, check the custom tab (if you have on your page) and make adjustments as needed.
